It's About the Kids
LCYBL exists to give every young athlete in Lancaster County a safe, competitive and joyful place to learn the game. We balance development with real competition, keep the league affordable through community partnerships, and lean on hundreds of volunteers who believe in the power of a summer evening at the ballpark.

The Story
74 Years in the Making
A few milestones from more than seven decades of Lancaster County baseball.
1952
A league is born
A handful of Lancaster County communities band together to create organized travel baseball for their youth — built on the simple idea that it's about the kids.
1960s–70s
Growing across the county
Clubs from Ephrata to Quarryville join the ranks, and the familiar 10U / 12U / 14U structure takes shape as participation surges.
1985
The LNP Tournament arrives
A partnership with the local newspaper launches what becomes the county's signature summer tournament, crowning champions in each division.
2000s
Modern era & safety first
Pitch-count rules, bat standards and background checks become league-wide, keeping players safe while raising the level of competition.
2017
Penn Medicine Park
The league establishes its hub at Penn Medicine Park in Lancaster city, hosting tournaments and clinics alongside the Lancaster Barnstormers.
2026
74 years strong
More than 25 member clubs and thousands of players carry the tradition forward — the same mission, a brand-new season.
